Netflix's Pride & Prejudice: In Conversation with Dolly Alderton

Join us for an exclusive first look at Dolly Alderton's highly anticipated adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, coming to Netflix later this year. In this special event, Dolly will offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her faithful yet fresh take on Jane Austen's beloved classic, as she unveils a suite of first-look images and introduces her interpretation of Austen's iconic characters.

The Jane Austen Festival is pleased to host this “In conversation with Dolly Alderton” from 17:30 - 18:15 on Tuesday 15th September in the BRLSI, Queens Square, Bath, UK.

This event won’t be live-streamed- this one is just for those of you gracing the streets of Bath that day. Make haste and do not tarry, as we are sure this will be a much attended event.

Grand Regency Costumed Promenade Route - Saturday 12th September 11am. 

We know lots of our Promenaders have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of exactly where in Bath we’re going to promenade this year. We are delighted to announce that the 2026 Promenade will begin on the Royal Crescent, and end on Bath Recreation Ground. The promenade will head down Great Pulteney Street, then turn right onto William Street to access the recreation ground. We are exceedingly obliged to the Bath Recreation trust for supporting the Festival with this great ending point.

This means our Promenaders will see some of the most iconic sights in Bath, and end up near both the Festival Fayre in the Pavilion and the Whole Campful of Soldiers★, so perfectly placed for a fun afternoon’s activities!

We will even be able to head straight into the Bath Pavilion* compound from the Recreation Ground, staying safe from any new-fangled horse-less carriages. 

*Please note the Bath Pavilion★ cannot fit the entire 2000+ promenaders inside at once, so you may be required to queue outside, or, alternatively, head to the Guildhall★ to explore our 2nd Fayre venue!
