To our dear fellow Austen-lovers, near and far,

The day is finally here: we are ready to reveal the 2025 Jane Austen Festival programme…

There are over 200 events, so treat it like one of your beloved Austen’s novels: it will take a little while to read! For ease of perusal, we have sorted it by date and by type of event. A Google Calendar view is also coming soon, so you can easily see which events are running at the same time.

There is one event that we would particularly like to draw your attention to...

We are as delighted as Mrs Bennet on the marriage of her two daughters to be able to announce our 250th Anniversary Special Event - taking place in Parade Gardens on the evening of Sunday 14th September 2025, running from 19:15 - 22:00.

Don your finest Regency costume and join the Jane Austen Festival at dusk in Parade Gardens, as we recreate a Georgian Pleasure Gardens. The festivities include sweet treats, drinks, circus performers and entertainment with musical interludes. This one-off event will celebrate our favourite author's 250th birthday in an extra special immersive way!

Regency costume will be mandatory for this event, as we look to re-create as immersive an event as possible. Participants will also be required to wear wristbands to allow to swift entry into the event - Wristband Collection points: Guildhall - Friday 12th 10:00 - 18:00 / Saturday 13th 15:00 - 18:00 / Sunday 14th 15:00 - 18:00

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 29th May 2025 at 13:00 BST
